 Heath Ledger

Though it has been four short, and yet long, years…
May you continue to rest your soul.
You are not forgotten, Heath.
We miss you…

“I never had money, and I was very happy without it. When I die, my money’s not gonna come with me. My movies will live on – for people to judge what I was as a person. I just want to stay curious.”

Rest in Paradise, Heath.

I could care less what people rate as ‘good’ or ‘bad’.
I’ve got fuckin’ great taste in movies!

A Knight’s Tale;

  • Heath Ledger.
  • Shannyn Sossamon!
  • Jousting.

You really can’t go wrong.

Anyone can be an actor. You blurt out some lines you have to memorize. Kiss someone every once in awhile. Maybe put on a costume for a role. All for the paycheck.

Fathers do that as well. But better. They learn to memorize the lines of their child’s favorite book. Kiss them to show how much they care. They put on some ridiculous costume for Halloween to go trick-or-treating with the little one. But they do it for love. No amount of money, fame, or power can ever compare to that, to a true loving parent.

Am I the only one who throws a mini-tantrum whenever someone dresses up as the Joker? Don’t get me wrong, I love that people show their own love for the Joker. But half the time, people look like amateur idiots. Not that I’m any better. Thus, that is why I don’t even attempt to make my own scars.

Anyways, saw "The Patriot" today and I just had to blog about Heath, once again, for the millionth time.

I absolutely hate Leno. But I couldn’t give up a JGL interview and I was so glad I didn’t.
Another reason why “10 Things I  Hate About You” will always be one of my favorites.

Heath Ledger winning an Oscar for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ for his role as ‘The Joker’ in The Dark Knight (2008)

CRYING ALL OVER THE PLACE.

I cried…like the biggest baby.

I remember this like it was just yesterday.
I’ve always hated when people use that sentence, but it’s true.

The thing that I love the most about Heath winning his Oscar is that he won it for portraying the Joker.
A character that was almost the complete opposite of every role he did prior to it. He always played this charming, lovable character who the audience immediately fell in love with.
(Not to say that the Joker isn’t a charming, lovable character that I immediately fell in love with! ;)

Yet, I must admit, I had my doubts as probably everyone else did when I heard that Ledger was to play the Joker. But I was easily silenced in that very first scene, if not, the first photo still they released of him as the Joker. He revolutionized the role of being a villain. And it was great, but also a bit tragic, for the AMPAS to truly and finally see how talented Ledger was and awarding his last complete role.
